About the Program

The program creates immersive learning experiences for students on topics such as culture, resistance to enslavement, poverty, gender issues, educational and cultural literacy, and colonialism in Ghana. The focus is to highlight the historic relationship between Ghana and African Americans.

Course-embedded programs are SDSU regular session courses that take place in the Fall or Spring semesters, but which have an international trip attached to the course. The international trip can take place before the semester begins, during Spring Break or after the term ends.
